Experience Report: VR ZONE “Extreme Courage Test Machine Fear of Heights: The Show”

Hello! It is me Sunita.
Last time we visited the “VR ZONE Shinjuku” for an interview and experience including some of the VR activities. This time, I would like to introduce to you another one of these activities that I recently experienced today at the VR ZONE.

The name of this activity is “Extreme Courage Test Machine Fear of Heights: The Show”.
In this activity, you have to rescue a small kitten that is on the other side of a narrow plank which is only 30 cm in width. The VR gave me the impression that I was outside of the building, balancing 200 meters above ground level.

Before starting an activity, you will need to wear shoes and gloves, which both contain built in sensors. Lastly, you will then be fitted with the VR box and headphones!

My heart starts to beat faster. I was very excited and nervous at the same time!
The activity will now begin!

Reday to go!!

The first screen of the VR was the located in the elevator hall of the building. From there I took the elevator up, as advised by the member of staff.

The elevator was so fast, as it took me to a height of 200 meters in a matter of a few seconds. When the door then opened and I saw a kitten at the end of this plank, which was only 30cm wide. It was waiting for me to help them.🐈

I tried to take one step on a plank and look down……

WOW!!!! It was so high….!😱😱

HIGH!!!

I knew that it was not real and that nothing would possibly happen to me butthe sensation was so real that I had a thought that, “I will die if I fall down from here”.😂

But then, there was this cute and helpless little kitten in front of my eyes, waiting for me to help, so how would I ignore it. So I took courage to walk out ahead, stepping slowly and carefully. Then came the another twist…

The plank is so rattling that it got more difficult to balance it and felt scarier!!

From here I cannot even go back now, so I give up walking and decided to crawl on my hands and knees.

I moved slowly, edging forward, little by little, before finally managing to reach the position of this poor kitten. 😊

Hurray!!!!! I did it!!!✌️

HURRY!! I did it✌️

But It was not over yet, I had to go back to where I had come from before the this was over.😰

What do I do now?? How do I go back???🤔

It was impossible for me to switch the directions and turn back on a plank with a width of only 30cm, so I decided to go in a reverse, moving backwards until I had finally reached the safety of the elevator once again!

After rescuing little kitten, I got inside the elevator and returned back down to ground floor or first floor.
When I reached the first floor, a new cat was waiting in front of the elevator.

To complete this activity was very scary but I am glad that somehow I managed to succeed at this activity!
It was the best experience I have ever had in my life.

Please try it at least once and test your own courage!
