There is a spacious lawn on the roof of Isetan, and there are plenty of greenery of all four seasons! There are stages for events, playground equipment for children to play and also a pond, which doesn’t feels like rooftop.
It is the best place to make your kids mood happy, when they feels tired during the shopping. There is also rental of leisure sheets, so if you buy drinks and side dishes at food shop on the basement, it will become a picnic place.
You can also buy drinks at vending machines. Depending on the season, you can also buy soft cream and beer at stalls. It is also possible to view Nishi-Shinjuku by passing through a small path.
In the corner, there a statue of the shopkeeper Mr. Tanji Kosuge and “Asahi Benzaiten”, a Guardian god of Shinjuku Isetan.
The Isetan building incorporates Art Deco, and the stairs leading up to the I Garden have vintage light purple stained glass which gives a feeling of style.
