Founded in the 17th Centaury, the historical Hanazono shrine is the place of the guardian god of Shinjuku town.
This spot is a common area for movie coverage and is a common spot to come across foreigners.

In the middle of Hanazono Shrine and Shinjuku promenade you can find a small alleyway, where there are small counter bars where you should try.
This area is called Golden Street “Golden Gai”, which is known as a spot where authors, play actors, writers and editors come together, gathering between tiny streets and buzzing bars. However, this place has been attracting more international attraction recently.

★Spot 8 Shinjuku I-Land Tower “LOVE” object
It is an object of “LOVE” at the crossing road of Nishi-Shinjuku (West-Shinjuku) where high-rise buildings are line up. It seems that the meaning of “Welcome with love” is included in this object.
It is the work of American artist Robert Indiana, and is actually set up in cities around the world.
