The Meiji Shrine was built in 1920s and is located just beside Harajuku Station. This shrine is dedicated to the souls of the Emperor Meiji (1852-1912) and his wife, Empress Shoken (1849-1914). It has an extensive land area of 700,000 square meters.

Many events will be expected to take place in the Meiji Shrine, which is near to the 100th anniversary. Why don’t you come and visit and be appart of the vibrant celebrations.
