The “Shinjuku Kitamura Camera Store(新宿 北村写真機店),” which opened in July 2020, is a new specialty store that offers a lifestyle proposal centered around photography and cameras.

The spacious store spans seven floors, from the basement 1st floor to the 6th floor.

Inside the store, you’ll find a camera sales area, a vintage salon focusing on Leica, a service counter providing repairs and daily maintenance support, a BOOK LOUNGE where you can enjoy photo printing and books while sipping coffee, and a rental studio equipped with professional equipment.

Additionally, there are various contents available to cater to different photography needs, including event spaces for photo exhibitions.

The store’s design is handled by TONERICO.inc, and the logo, inspired by the origin of cameras, the obscura, is created by Shogo Kijuno (6D).

A Wide Range of Lineup
We constantly stock approximately 6,000 cameras and lenses, including new, used, and vintage items. You can also combine new and used cameras and lenses. We offer over 60 types of mount adapters to propose new ways to enjoy cameras.
Enjoy Photo Printing and Photobook Creation with Books and Coffee
At the BOOK LOUNGE floor, you can enjoy photo printing and create photobooks while savoring a cup of coffee.

Establishment of “Re-pro Center” for Buying, Repairing, and Maintenance
Through collaboration with our factory, we have achieved a turnaround time of as short as 5 business days for repairs, which used to take approximately 1 month. This enhances both speed and maintenance quality.

We also offer camera customization services such as changing paint and replacing leather for your beloved cameras, as well as a rental service for popular cameras and lenses. *Note that some services may not be eligible for the 5-day turnaround.

Premium Vintage Salon
We display and sell Leica, renowned cameras, and particularly valuable ones.

Rental Studio
Our studio, designed for professional photographers, is equipped with professional lighting and shooting equipment, as well as post-processing devices, which are available for rental.

POP UP Space and Select Products
We have a selection of carefully curated products by camera concierges and unique camera goods that can only be found here, including original items featuring artwork by artist Philippe Weisbecker, who is based in Paris.

Hosting Events
The 6th-floor event space, “Space Lucida,” hosts exhibitions and events throughout the year for enjoying the photo life free of charge.

From seminars organized by camera concierges such as “Introduction to Leica” and “Choosing a Smart Mid-range Camera” to events planned by various camera manufacturers and pop-up shops accompanying new product releases, a wide range of events are planned.
