“Donzoko” was founded in 1951 and has a long-established history. This is a western style bar, that has been loved by cultural people such as Yukio Mishima and Akira Kurosawa.
The exterior of the building is covered in sprawling ivy. Once you enter the shop, you can feel very old and massive atmosphere which seems to be like a time slip.
The cuisine of this shop has a western style menu and also have an abundant selection from meat dishes to seafood dishes, salad and shop’s original dishes.
The recommended cuisine are included in the menu with its photos, so it is very easy to understand.
Kokusan ushu no teion roast (Domestic beef’s low temperature roast) costs 1,300 yen. Chicken ham with herb flavor costs 650 yen. Saute of gyutan (beef tongue) and asparagus costs 1,500 yen.
The best recommended menu of Donzoko is Mixed pizza with plenty of cheese, which cost 1,300 yen for M size (2-3 people). Menu which has an interesting naming called ‘Mr. Hayashi Rice’ has been loved for a very long time. It will cost you 950 yen.
Bar tender on the each floor will make you a cocktail as per your taste. Beer and Wine will cost you from 600 yen. There is also abundant drink menu from original cocktail to different varieties of Sherry, Japanese sake, Sparkling wine and Homemade Sangria. Bottle of wine costs from 3,000 yen.
