In omoide yokocho (思い出横丁), you can enjoy the Yakitori or Motsuyaki and also a majority of small restaurants with counters facing both sides of a narrow alley. The appearance of the black market formed after the war and still remains but now most buildings being built today are part of a progressive development by the West entrance. It is also a popular spot among foreigners as a drinking town, where you can enjoy the atmosphere of Showa era.
There are lots of famous shops from the ancient era, such as “Tsurukame Shokudo”, where you can enjoy Soy bowl covered in soy curry, this is a handmade ramen shop “Wakatsuki”, which was established more than 50 years ago, Mochi-yaki “Ucchan” and much more.
