Cha no Ikedaya (茶の池田や) is a speciality shop of Japanese green tea, located in the underground shopping area “Odakyu Ace” of Shinjuku Station west exit. It was founded 72 years ago.
The Japanese tea is purchased by the shopkeepers themselves who visit the market. They even self-raost the coffee in their shops.
In additional to Japanese tea, they also sell dried seaweed, healthy tea, sweets and many more. Here you can also enjoy “Matcha (powdered Green Tea) Soft Cream” and “Matcha Drink” at a reasonable price.
“Matcha Vanilla Mixed” soft cream is made from the finest Matcha and a fresh milk from Hokkaido can be bought for 250 yen and “Cold Matcha” drink is sold at 200 yen.
