Oiwakedango (追分だんご) is a dango (rice dumpling) shop, which was founded in 1945. It is a well-known long-established shop in Shinjuku.
There are various kinds of dango such as Midarasi, Kusa sango, Yomogi, Goma, Yuzu and many more.
Since there are varieties of dango, I get confused which to choose.
The most popular item is’Ichigo Daifuku (Strawberry rice cake)’.
The classic ‘Midarasi Dango’ will cost 172 yen per piece.
On the backside of the shop, you can also enjoy fresh dango, tea as well as kakigori (shaved ice) in summer time.
