It was opened as a municipal park in 1968, in the place where it was once a Yodobashi Purification Plant.<br \/>\nIt is an urban oasis of Shinjuku surrounded by large number of high-rise office buildings, where many people visit for healing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/yokoso-shinjuku.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/chuo-park1.jpg\" alt=\"chuo-park1\" width=\"550\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a \u201cFountain square\u201d and \u201cNagara Fall\u201d in the center of the park.
